Golden Harvest Food Bank, located in Augusta, GA, strives to provide food resources throughout Georgia and South Carolina to help neighbors in need. To help keep operations up and running after a flood event, Golden Harvest turned to Floodproofing.com to find a solution that fit their needs. The building included a large office space and a warehouse/distribution center with several loading docks, which can be challenging to dry floodproof. After a site visit, a mixed wet and dry floodproofing approach was suggested. Insulated Multi-Frame Smart Vents were installed in the distribution center, providing optimal flood protection where the loading docks are located. The rest of the building is equipped with FRA Flood Panels that can be quickly deployed in the event of a flood.
