Floodproofing.com installed Mega Flood Logs on 13 openings for three buildings at the Houston Zoo, near the seal, penguin and turtle exhibits. The project required minor modifications to accommodate different facades and building conditions. Houston sits just above sea level and is prone to extreme flooding caused by its flat, clay soil, inadequate flood control infrastructure, commercial development that replaced wetlands with paved surfaces and climate change.
