Point-Of-Use Flood Barriers

Side Deployed Flex-Wall 2510

The Side Deployed Flex-Wall® 2510 has been tested and approved to the ANSI/FM 2510 American National Standard for Flood Abatement Equipment for Openings. The Flex-Wall 2510 is qualified for a range of Design Flood Elevations and across varying width openings, all without posts across the span.

The system includes a high-strength fabric wall that can be deployed rapidly for flood protection. The patented system is stored in a container at the point of use so that all materials and components are available when needed. Sealing is achieved via clamping to the opening walls and the ground. Connection at the opposite end of the opening is accomplished by bolting an integral Structural End Bar and a Vertical Clamp Bar to a preinstalled Receiver. All operations are manual in case of power-outage using standard hand tools. The Flex-Wall 2510 is simple to operate and can be easily deployed or stowed by two people within 30 minutes.

Both units are stored at Point-of-Use, thus providing deployment and retraction in minutes, with minimal manpower or equipment required.   The Side-Deployed Flex-Wall®  can be customized to a wide variety of openings and widths, as well as accounting for significant Design Flood Elevations and surge.  All parts and equipment are stored at the point-of-use for maximum efficiency in an extreme weather event.

Vertical Deployed Flex-Wall®

The Portal Flex-Gate® by ILC Dover is a high strength flood barrier that can be deployed rapidly for flood protection of tunnels, doors, or portals. It can fit a wide range of portal openings. It functions similarly to a roll-up storefront or garage security door. It resides in a small container and is deployed in tracks along the opening prior to an event occurring. Deployment is performed via a motor or manually if power is unavailable. The flexible cover travels in guides during deployment, and seals against them when challenged with water.

Portal Flex-Gate®

The Stairwell Flex-Gate® by ILC Dover is a high strength dry flood protection closure that can be deployed rapidly for flood mitigation of stairwells. It was originally developed for use in the New York City subway system, but can be used in a wide range of applications.

Stairwell Flex-Gate®

The Resilient Tunnel Plug (RTP) by ILC Dover is a scalable technology that is intended to plug rail, automotive, or other tunnels from threats, including water. The development system was a 16.2 ft diameter, 32 ft long inflatable structure capable of long-term operation of 17psi. It was configured to deploy from a container mounted inside the tunnel. The inflation system pressurizes the plug rapidly and maintains its pressure over its operational life.
