Flex-Gate® Side Deploy
The Flex-Gate® Side Deploy 2510 has been tested and approved to the ANSI/FM 2510 American National Standard for Flood Abatement Equipment for Openings. The Flex-Gate® Side Deploy is qualified for a range of Design Flood Elevations and across varying width openings, all without posts across the span. The system includes a high-strength fabric wall that can be deployed rapidly for flood protection. The patented system is stored in a container at the point of use so that all materials and components are available when needed. Sealing is achieved via clamping to the opening walls and the ground. Connection at the opposite end of the opening is accomplished by bolting an integral Structural End Bar and a Vertical Clamp Bar to a preinstalled Receiver. All operations are manual in case of power-outage using standard hand tools. The Flex-Gate is simple to operate and can be easily deployed or stowed by two people within 30 minutes.
KEY FEATURES
-
Point-of-use storage allows deployment at last moment for minimal operational disruption, resumes operations faster
-
<0.08 gal/hour/linear foot of barrier perimeter seepage equate to extremely low levels over the flood duration
-
Highest FM Approved Flood Barrier 6′ DFE
-
Scalable Opening Protection at ranges to 21′ wide
-
No center posts required across the openings which helps minimize storage container size and deployment/retraction
-
Rapid deployment allows opening to be secured in only 30 minutes by two people so manpower needs significantly less
-
Compact stowage of flexible barrier results in small storage spaces at the opening
-
Clamp Bars stored in the Receiver Container assures all parts are there when needed
-
No added operational costs for storage

Other Flexible Barriers
Our flood protection products protect your critical assets while providing the flexibility to keep the property open until the last possible moment before an event occurs, and provide the fastest recovery time. The use of flexible materials enables protective devices that can be packed into very small volumes and stored at their point of use (as with roll-up security doors or automotive airbags). This, in turn, facilitates an extremely rapid response to deploy protection in an emergency. Our technology can also be tailored to meet special applications and our of staff Engineers & Certified Floodplain Managers can help you select the right solution for your needs. Unlike stop log type rigid solutions, our Stored at the Point-of-Use Flex-Wall® and Flex-Gate® systems are quickly deployable and protect against flood levels from a few feet to over 30 feet. These flood barrier systems are being installed by New York City Transit (NYCT) and a Major Electrical Utility to address subway and power generation facility flood protection needs.
